Remember Me
"And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, 'This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.'" Luke 22:19

Jesus is our Passover Lamb.  His death on the cross actually coincided with Israel's national remembrance of Passover.  This was not a coincidence but a declaration.   He took our sins upon Himself, shedding His blood for the remission of our sins.

Just as occurred on that night in Egypt, the blood of the Lamb made the difference between life and death.  "The blood will be sign for you on the houses where you are, and when I see the blood, I will pass over you."
Exodus 12:13

Recalling what Jesus has done for us celebrates our liberation from sin and death.  It declares His victory that is now our victory. It speaks of His provision of healing and the promise of walking in the new and living way. (Hebrews 10:19-20)

Jesus was broken for our brokenness.   Jesus was beaten for our transgressions. By His stripes we are healed! (Isaiah 53:5) Hope lives, peace reigns and love endures, because of Jesus.

As often as you can, take part in the meal that celebrates and commemorates what He has done, is doing and will do throughout the ages.  As often as you do, "do it in remembrance" of Jesus and find His fullness realized!

Blessings abound,
Pastor Rick Meyers
