Chariots
"Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will remember the name of the Lord our God."  Psalm 20:7

Throughout Scripture we are instructed to trust in the Lord.  But just as the Israelites did time and time again, often we misplace our confidence and dependence on the Lord for inadequate substitutes.

Some trust in their surroundings for strength.  Others seek for strength in their fiscal resources.  The  list may also include: popularity, careers, family, fame, business success, personal experience and educational achievement.
None of these are secure anchors in life's turbulence.

The good news is that God is worthy of our trust!  He alone is our strength and refuge.  In Him, there is no "shadow of turning"; no question of character; no end of His love and no unforgiveness.  He is reliable and righteous.  He is the Rock!

Just as He proved Himself in the past, God continues to be in the present and will be forevermore.   We need not sweat the circumstances when God is the circumference of our lives.

Remember, trust in the Lord,
Pastor Rick Meyers
