Resting, Not Restless
"Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." Psalm 46:10

So much turmoil in this world, surrounds us daily.  We can be driven by concerns, conflicts and crisis.  But for those of us who are in Christ Jesus, there is a glorious alternative.  Instead of being filled with restlessness, we can find complete rest!

Instead of relying on our limited efforts, experience and expectations, we can find refuge in the unshakable and our "ever-present help in trouble". (Psalm 46:1)

God is our Refuge and Strength! His character and presence undergird us, even when "the earth gives way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea; though its waters roar and foam"... Psalm 46:2-3

Being still is not about keeping silent, but standing strong.  It's about ceasing from striving.  Remembering Who has us and refusing to yield to fear allows us to rest inside His peace. Here we are resigned to His will; confident in His character and know that He "works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28

Oh, such a secure foundation for such times as these!
