"Not In Part, But The Whole"
"And you, who were once alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy and blameless, and above reproach in His sight..."
  Colossians 1:21-22

When Jesus died on the cross He bore, in His body, all our sins!  Not some, most or many but all!  Every transgression, violation and wicked thought,  in word and deed was taken upon Him. Making the great exchange possible through faith in Jesus Christ, we are reconciled with God!

This life changing truth resonated in my heart as the words of an old hymn rang in my mind...

"My sin, oh the bliss of this glorious thought,
My sin not in part, but the whole;
Was nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more,
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, o my soul!"
(Hymn: "It is Well" by Horatio Spafford)

The love of God was clearly demonstrated when Jesus took our sins upon Himself. (Romans 5:8) There is no doubt, debt or defeat  - in Jesus we are "holy, blameless and above reproach"!  Such good news should set our souls to singing!
