Turn Arounds
"When he (Paul) came to Jerusalem, he tried to join the disciples, but they were all afraid of him, not believing that he really was a disciple. But Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles."
Acts 9:26-27
God is the Master at turn arounds! No matter what direction you may be headed in, Jesus can change your life and set you in the right direction.
The apostle Paul (formerly Saul) went from persecutor to preacher, following his encounter with Jesus. He who once put Christians to death, became a messenger of the very gospel he tried to stop. Paul was transformed!
But it took someone to believe that the transformation was real. Most were afraid of this persecutor. They didn't want anything to do with him. But Barnabas stepped up to stand beside Paul and took him to the apostles.
People need someone to believe that Jesus can make a difference in their lives. All of us are grateful for those who have believed in us and encouraged us. You can a play an important role in the "turn arounds" God is performing.
May the Lord lead us to those we can encourage and to those who will encourage us! Be on the lookout, "turn arounds" abound!
