Our Shield
"But You, O Lord,  are a shield for me, my glory and the One Who lifts my head. I cried to the Lord with my voice, and He heard me from His holy hill."
Psalm 3:3-4

When David was fleeing from those who sought his life; when his distress had increased,  and when he was told, "There's no help for you, even in God"...
He recalled what we too can be assured of: The Lord is our Shield!

Often we are called to go through a difficulty rather than be delivered from one.  It is then that we realize God's strength and grace to be confident in Him as our Protector.   When the pronouncement is for our doom, even then He makes room for us, beneath the shelter of His wings.

We don't stand defenseless in our journey of faith, we have a mighty Defender.  We need not fear in times of distress,  we are surrounded by His love.  When we feel all alone,  we still have peace with our Father Who will never leave us!

Paul reminds us to walk fully equipped in the armor of God.
"Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand." Ephesians 6:13

Allow Jesus to be your Shield and the glory of your head!
