Living Stones

"Then, as He was drawing near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for the mighty works they had seen, saying:  'Blessed is the King Who comes in the name of the Lord!  Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!'  And some of the Pharisees called to Him from the crowd, 'Teacher, rebuke your disciples.'  But He answered and said to them,
'I tell you that if these should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out.'"
Luke 19:37-40

It's Palm Sunday!  Shout praise to God for sending His Son to take our sins upon Himself.

As it was on the first Palm Sunday, Jesus continues to seek entry into the lives of those who will believe on His name and come into right relationship with Him.

Just as they were then, today there are those who want to silence the joyous proclamation of His Lordship.  They seek to "cancel" the good news that Jesus is "the way, the truth and the life ".

But not so fast...Jesus said if His disciples were stilled, "the stones would immediately cry out."  Let nothing silence your praise! As His followers, we come to Him as "living stones"

As Peter wrote, "Coming to Him (Jesus) as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, you also as living stones are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ."
I Peter 2:4-5

Lift up your hosanna for the King has come and He's coming again!
