Steadfast
"You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord Himself, is the Rock eternal." Isaiah 26:3-4
Just because we live in troubled times, doesn't mean we have to have troubled minds!
There is only one place suited and designed for the human mind to dwell...the Lord our God. Here, when we realize the wonder of His character; the depth of His love; and the stability of His unchanging glory, is where we find perfect peace. Like an unmoveable lighthouse reassuring the wind-tossed sailor, the Lord is our 'Rock eternal".
In the Lord we find that resting place to stabilize our lives, thoughts and emotions. We need to fasten our minds upon a reality more powerful than our fears. As Paul wrote, "Set your mind on things above, not on the things on the earth." (Colossians 3:2)
Like a great Fortress, we are sheltered in His perfect peace. Steadfast, unmoved, grounded in Him...growing in grace and truth!
