Resting Place 
"Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;"
I Peter 1:13

As we grow on our journey with Jesus we need to be reminded that the foundation of our hope doesn't depend on us, but upon His grace.  It's not about how successful we are, but how secure is the finished work accomplished at the cross. 

Times change, trials come and tests are ongoing but our hope rests strong upon His unchanging love and strength. We are not to shaken, for we are never forsaken!

Consider these words of hymn writer, E. E. Hewitt:
"My faith has found a resting place, not in device or creed;
I trust the Ever-living One,
His wounds for me shall plead!

Enough for me that Jesus saves, this ends my fear and doubt; 
A sinful soul, I come to Him,
He'll never cast me out!

I need no other argument,
I need no other plea;
It is enough that Jesus died and that He died for me!"

Take firm hold on the truth that in Him, on Him and through Him, we stand on solid ground!
