Pastor’s Pen for Sunday December 15, 2019

“He has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich He sent away empty.  He
has helped His servant Israel, in remembrance of His mercy, as He spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and to his seed forever.  Luke 1:53-55

Songs of the Season:
Good Things

“Do not be afraid…good tidings I bring,
Born to you this day, is Christ the King”,

The shepherds came with haste,
Not a minute was there to waste,

For good things to them was declared,
They went boldly, no longer scared,
Knowing God does good things!

And there in the manger, such a sight,
God the Son, Creator of light,

Given to take away our sin,
Given the war to win,

Jesus, all God, yet all human too,
Here with us, God’s work to do,
Yes God does good things!

“Glory to God in the highest place”,
Redeemer of mankind has revealed His grace,

For there is born this day in David’s town,
Christ the Lord, God has come down,

No longer are we people of separation,
God has revealed Himself to our generation,
Because God does good things!
