Essentials From Ephesians
(Part 3)
"Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;" Ephesians 1:15-16
Paul believed gratitude and prayer are essential in the foundation and the formation of a Spirit filled life in Jesus. He records his desire for all believers to stand strong in the days they find themselves.
Consider what his prayer was for us:
1. That God give you the "spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him". It's all about knowing Him, better and better, more and more. (Vs 17)
2.That you may know the hope of His calling. (Vs 18) Assured of His victory, confident in His presence and unafraid in times of trial.
3. That you may know "the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe". (Vs 19) God's power is unlimited and available to minister to and through us.
Stop and grasp the truth of what God has for you! No need to cower, when He is your strong tower!
