Giving Thanks!
"Praise the Lord! Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever!" Psalm 106:1
Far more than a holiday and a time to gather with family, Thanksgiving is a way of life!
It resonates in the heart of those who recognize the wonders of the Creator. It flows naturally when considering Who He is that has revealed Himself to us. It's the only response to the greatness of our God!
King David repeatedly spoke of thankfulness. He was convinced of the worthiness and wonder of the Great Shepherd; the Fortress and Rock of our salvation and our Father Who is the Lord God of Israel!
Consider these words of adoration found in I Chronicles 29:10-13 and let them be yours as well:
"Blessed are You, Lord God of Israel, our Father, forever and ever. Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, the power and the glory, the victory and the majesty; For all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and You are exalted as head over all. Both riches and honor come from You, and You reign over all. In Your hand is power and might; In Your hand it is to make great and give strength to all. Now therefore, our God, we thank You and praise Your glorious name." Amen!
