Prescription from Philippians (Part 1)

"Being confident of this very thing, that He Who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ."
Philippians 1:6

In Paul's letter to the Philippians we find what I call a "Prescription" for victorious Christian living.  Key verses point out important concepts and principles, which if followed, strengthen our journey of faith in Jesus. 

The first concept is that of confidence.   We can be fully assured that what God started, He will finish.  The good work that He began in our lives, He will see through to completion!

Our relationship with God is not dependent upon our achievements, but upon His.  He came seeking the lost so we might be found.  He came to die for our sins so we could be forgiven. He rose from the grave so we could be alive with Him forever. 

Confidence remains based upon Who He is and what He has done.  It allows us to remain unshakable, immovable and without fear in troubled times.  Or as we have said, "God's got this!"
